RASH the Academic Network of ALBANIA is local implementing partner of Smart Tour Platform. 

SMART TOUR platform is a mix of Immersive Reality with cloud-based tools, content management technologies, opens standards and access. Immersive cloud driven technology will be coupled with capacity building actions, creative actors and stakeholders networking, clustering and experiential destination management methodologies and strategies. This Platform will be offered to the cultural routes actors as a toolkit through cloud infrastructure of the public Academic Networks of Greece (GRNET) and Albania (RASH).

In the framework of this project RASH opens the procedure for: “Technical Expertise for VR/AR Platform Development and Pilots”– in the frame of the project “SMART TOUR” for the Academic Network of Albania. It should include the following elements:

Expert to pilot Experiential Identity, focus on UNESCO Heritage site and candidates Gjirokastra, applying the concept of experiential tourism to intangible and tangible heritage. Each pilot includes:

• conception, scenario and data collections phase
• technology implementation phase
• stakeholder’s data collection as per Experiential Destination Management methodology
• installation and equipment purchase phase
• deployment and demonstration

The augmented reality applications will include folk sound, polyphonic songs, natural heritage assets, 3D Models, AR/VR and 360 VR content

Museums in the Era of Experience will be implemented in the Ethnographic Museums of Gjirokastra focusing on indoor application of Virtual/Augmented Reality Experiences in educational experiences of typography for schools and youth and Augmented Reality Presentation of everyday life ritual in Gjirokastra. Pilot includes smart glasses and application (VR/AR) development for educational historical experiences.

Horizontal Action summarising the pilot results at the end of the project, including user feedback and evaluation of the experiential cultural, tourism and educational models, as well as the technology of the SMART TOUR. As part of the “Capitalization Strategy” the consortium partners will sign a MoA for maintaining the project results for at least 5 years after its completion, describing the IPR rights for the “SMART TOUR” brand owned by the consortium and draft a joint strategy for further exploitation of the technologies and tools in other CB or RDI projects.

The Offerors that will participate in this open call must comply with the criteria defined in the documents “Instruction to tenderers” and “Contract Notice” attached to this request.

The offer is open to international and domestic offerors. Limit fund is 19, 523 (nineteen thousand and five hundred and twenty-three) Euro. This Open Call is based on Simplified PRAG procedures.

The deadline for submitting proposals is 24 May 2023.
