The Albanian Academic Network (RASH) and the Academy of Sciences of Albania signed a cooperation agreement on May 7, 2026, aimed at strengthening digital infrastructure and supporting academic publications in Albania.

The agreement was signed by the General Director and Chairman of the Board of RASH, Dr. Arjan Xhelaj, and the President of the Academy of Sciences of Albania, Academician Skënder Gjinushi.

Within the framework of this cooperation, the parties will establish, develop, maintain, and technically administer the scientific journals portal of the Academy of Sciences of Albania, with the objective of ensuring a modern, sustainable, and efficient platform for academic publications.

RASH, as the institution responsible for the development and administration of technological infrastructure and academic networks in the country, will also contribute to the maintenance of digital infrastructure serving education and science, while ensuring the interconnection of the Albanian academic network with the European GÉANT network.

This partnership with the Academy of Sciences of Albania, the country’s highest scientific institution, represents an important step toward the modernization of academic services, the consolidation of the scientific publishing infrastructure, and the enhancement of the quality of scientific research in the Republic of Albania.
